Mass Makeup for the past 7 moths!

Mike gettin ready to ride the mechanical bull at the Sate Fair!

Devyn's first day of Preschool! My baby is sooo big!

Dylan's First day of 1st Grade! All day school is AWESOME!!!

Backyard Campout for Mothers day, complete with Dutchoven dinner AND breakfast! Mmmm!
Double D's ready for Trick or Treatin!

So I'm getting all these updates telling me to look at their blogs...and when I do I notice it's been 7 months since I've done mine! Ahhhh! Once the babe comes, I'm sure it's gonna be even longer beofre I get to it again so here it goes!

Baby Drue will be here anytime between Christmas and Jan 12! Mike is shootin for the "Tax Break" and I'm thinking how hard it'll be to have to do a Birthday party right after Christmas (sooo many gifts in one month and NOTHING the rest of the year) But we'll take her when she's ready to come, as long as she's healthy!

The Girls are WAY excited for Christmas AND the Babe! In fact they give her hugs and kisses before I get any "Baby first Mom!" is what they tell me! I'll find Devyn in the Babes room (her old room) just staring at the crib and she'll ask me if she can sleep in there with Baby Drue! Soo sweet!

Happy Birthday Dylan

Dylan just turned 6 on May 16. She was a good supporter and came to watch me run through the finish line of my Half Marathon. When I got up to her she ran out to me and actually ran the last couple of yards hand in hand with me, when I get the pics I'll post them! The announcer was teasing her cuz she was holding up her pants while running, and he gave her a high five for coming out to support me. I told him it was her birthday and he said "Happy Birthday" and Dylan was ecstatic!

Once we got home and got ready, she had 11 of her girlfriends over and we had a Spa Party! We made Sugar Scrub and massaged it onto our hands and feet, then we played spin the bottle with nail polish. Whoever the bottle pointed to, they had to paint one finger that color, and I had 6 different colors going! Then we put on shower caps and I had the girls pair up, one in front and one in back. The one in back had to put her arms through the one in front's armpits and apply eyeshadow, lipstick, and blush without looking! Then we had cupcakes and opened presents! The Sister Missionaries stopped by to bring a B-day card to Dylan and the girls LOVED that!!!

Sunday we had to family over for cake and ice cream! She got Heeley's (sp?) and Sketchers (twinkle toes), Hannah Montana stuff, coloring stuff and clothes! The last present she opened was wrapped about 10 times (gotta love Mike) and it was a book titled A New Baby is Coming! This was our way of breaking the good news to everyone! So all night long Dyl and Dev kept saying "Baby Brother!" (lets hope so) and hugging my belly!

I can't believe my first baby is 6 and going to be in 1st grade next year...time flies! I love you Dylan Kelley Carlson!!!

Feb/March

I got an invitation to a friends blog and remembered that I had one and should probably update it! There is never a dull moment at the Carlson household! I've been busy building my home business and trying to share it with others! (Anyone know anyone looking for extra income working partime from home? If so...send them my way!)

I'm still teaching Yoga on Saturdays and now Mike has volunteered us to Coach Devy's Soccer Team! We just picked up the roster today and we're really excited...I had to hide her uniform so it doesn't get ruined before the season even starts!

Dylan is getting ready for T-ball, but in school they've been working on computers soo her new love is PBSKids.org. I'm working on finding a balance between computer games/wii/homework/playing with friends/playing with sister/and quiet time. Any ideas? She comes home everyday with new ideas, words, and friends, this girl amazes me!

I turned 28 in February and I still don't feel old enough to be a mom! I went out one night with the girls to Macaroni Grille and Mike took me out one day...all day shopping at consignment stores, it was a blast! That day was also Dylan's very first fieldtrip...AND...her first bus ride EVER! Mike and I volunteered to go, we went to Hale Theater and saw the costume closet, set shop and we got to walk on the stage :-) Dylan said it was boring :-( but she LOVED the bus ride so that makes up for it right?

This last weekend I went on a girls trip with my neighboor Katie and her girlfriends to Bear Lake. It was a REAL girls trip, we stayed up til 3 each night gabbing, we painted our toes, played some games and ate A LOT of junk and drank A LOT of Diet Coke! Doesn't get any better than that!

Happy Birthday Devyn!

Devy Turned 3 Jan 23! I can't believe my baby is 3! Here are some pictures of her eating cake and wearing her fun birthday cake hat with 3 candles on it. She was extremely confused opening presents. Every time she opened one I would tell her who it was from...and she thought that she had to give it back to them...so she'd open a present and I'd say "Dev, that was from Grandpa, what do you say?" and she'd pick up the present and take it to Grandpa and hand it to him. We kept telling her "No, it's yours Dev!" and she'd say "Why?" and We'd tell her it's her birthday and she'd say "Why?" It was too cute!

Here she is in front of our measuring board! My sister and I came up with this idea one year and thought it was BRILLIANT! We remember haing a wall at Grandma and Grandpas where they'd mark our height each year...well they just sold that house and we had to paint over all the marks :-( So Deija and I bought some boards, painted them and put marks ever foot and thought we could take their picture on their birthday every year, schlack (sp?) it on and watch how they grow from year to year! Deija even thought about painting their hands and having them stamp their hands on it too...well I dunno about her but, all I've done is take their picture in front of it...that's it...I have good intentions right?!?

This is how Devy would do 3 with her fingers for about a week until she could get it with her thumb and pointer finger together (like Papa taught her)

Happy New Year!

It's a new year and a time to make resolutions! One of mine is NOT to update more frequently LOL. Sorry everyone, I'm just gonna keep on updating as I can!

Some of my resolutions include, but are not limited to: Really Listening to my Heart and allowing that to lead me! Taking better care of myself internally (i.e. speaking kindly to myself and allowing forgiveness of my mistakes) Spending more QUALITY time with my family. Loving and Accepting everyone as they are...without expectations or judgment!

Physically...I'm gonna win the Stone Family Biggest Loser...and if I come in 2nd place again...it will be to Mike because I'm his personal trainer! I'm also going to train for a Marathon!

Peace and Love to all this fresh new year!

Ummm....I give up!

Well I'm not quite sure how everyone else in the world seems to be sooo much better than me at keepin their blog up-to-date, but I'm super jealous of all y'all! Here's another mega load of pics and details of our life here in Farmington. I'm just gonna stop apologizing for these mass updates and just let you expect that I'll only really do this about once a month! So There! That'll show ya right?!? Now down to business!

We went to Thanksgiving Pointe and Saw Santa and his Reindeer and drove through the lights, the girls that it was sooo fun to see his actually Reindeer, however upset they were that Rudolph was not there cuz they didn't have a Red Nose, they had fun guessing which ones were there..."It's Dancer and Dickson Mom" Dylan would say, Devyn thought it was "Pancer and Dancer!"

Here are the Halloween Pictures I've been promissing since, well ummm...Halloween! Dylan was a Souther Bell and Devy was a scarecrow, they had a blast trick-or-treating and kept going even when it started raining!

Here is one of the Reindeer!

Here we were decorating our Gingerbread house and my girls after decorating the tree holding our poor lil mut Heirmosa!

Here's Mike gettting ready to fry our Turkey! He injected it with cajun/crole spices and it was soooooo juicy and yummy! Our first year frying a Turkey and I think we'll do it again! Mmm!

Here are all the grandkids at "The Compound!" watching the train run around the tree! My mom hates it when I call it The Compound, but I think it's funny! Mike came up with it. My Mom is living with her Mom (aka Grammy) and her Brother (Uncle Jeff) and my Dads sister (Aunt Susan) in this house in Layton. It's a great lil get up for all of them but we like to tease them about it!
So there ya have it....a nice lil recap of Oct/Nov/Dec all in one post! Hope you all enjoy it and thanks for being inspiring to make mine a lil better...one day I'll get around to it I promise :-)
Peace, Love and Joy this Holiday Season!

Early For November!

Ok...so I know already that this month is turning out to be absolutely INSANE! So...I'm going to post early! Halloween was fun (I'll post pics as soon as I upload them) the girls had a blast! Devy was a lil scarecrow and Dylan was a Souther Belle. They loved trick-or-treating...even when it started raining.

I've started teaching Dance at Studio 1 in Farmington on Thursday nights. WOW...what a workout. Those girls have soo much energy I can't even fathom ever being like that! I teach 3 classes in a row so I'm going straight for 3 hours. By the end my body hurst in places it forgot was ever there, my voice is almost gone from counting a cueing, and I'm on a total high from having soo much fun and feeling 12 again! I can't wait for the recital to see it all manifest!

On Wednesday nights I'm taking an adult Spanish class. This is the second session and Senorita Mendoza calls it the "Advanced Class" I'm not as confident as she is! She only speaks in Spanish the whole hour I'm there. The first session we were allowed to reply in English...for the "Advanced Class" we can only speak Spanish....AHHHH!!! It's fun to learn a new thing and try to practice it with my brother Jarum the few times a month I've seen him!

Speakin of Jarum...he and Brooke just blessed baby Chase this last Sunday! What a cute lil bud he is! I've only seen 3 boy babies...and he is by far the cutest one I've seen! He's got the wrinkly forehead my dad has and he grunts and snorts when he's unhappy, which he hardley ever is when I see him!

We've attended 2 family picture sessions. One for the Carlsons and one for the Stones. Let me just tell you...I HATE family pics! The stress of getting the girls to look cute and happy and hold still for the pic is quite a process. One that ensues clapping, jumping up and down, making crazy noises and faces. I'm sure it's a ploy from our kids "lets see who can get mom to look like a crazy lady!" Gotta love it!

That's good for now...I promise to get pics of Halloween and our new Family pics up as soon as I can!

Love, Peace and Happiness to all!
